Melissa Chaconas is a poet, a Witch, a filmmaker, and works with dogs. Melissa loves images and adores storytelling. She is in love with great films. Melissa enjoys taking portraits more than anything.
"A Word Exposure 14 Moments Production" is a film production written and created by Melissa Chaconas. While she enjoys her own private projects she is fueled by working with others. Melissa is passionate and driven toward creating your dream vision properly.
Melissa Chaconas went to the famous arts high-school Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC where she received professional arts training and various internships that help shape her drive. She then went to get her Bachelors of Arts in Photography from Columbia College Chicago. Melissa after college went to work for the Department of Energy as a house photographer for two years where she developed her confidence in photojournalism photography.
While working she also managed to go to India for three weeks to further her travel and portrait photography. Upon moving to Los Angeles she started to begin a relationship with AFI and has been a volunteer event photographer for the American Film Institute for three years. She has a Cinematography certificate from UCLA. She received her Masters of Arts in Film from the David Lynch Program. Los Angeles is where she resides.
Melissa is a people person and loves being outdoors. She is an animal lover. She loves to travel and learn about other cultures & beliefs. She loves to laugh, she is still a humble person while her greatest talent is her eye.
